The decor and atmosphere of Lucia's are one of the main reasons for its charm and incredible popularity. Jeremey Iggers, the restaurant review critic of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, noted "When weekend cooks dream of owning their own restaurant, this is the kind of place they dream about..."

There is an elegance and a warmth that is unpretentious and inviting. Customers feel as comfortable having a romantic dinner as they do enjoying a casual night out with friends.

In this section of the site you can get a unique first hand look at our interior. We photographed both the restaurant and the wine bar and created 360 degree panoramic images for you to stand in. You can turn right, turn left, zoom in and zoom out. To view these, click on "panorama" at each section. You will need the RealSpace plug-in for your browser, though. To get it, click here. The restaurant is the larger half of Lucia's. It was expanded from its original 36 seats to 72 after an extremely successful opening year. The color scheme of the restaurant is neutral and warm. The walls are bathed in a mild cream color with painted gold leaf accents across the ceilings trim line. The restaurant also has a very open feeling created by the large windows along the southern side of the restaurant and the vaulted eighteen foot ceilings. Flowers are also a very important part of the decor and you will always find fresh flowers on your table.

The wine bar was the most recent addition to the restaurant. In 1991, the adjacent space to the east of Lucia's became available and it was turned into the 30-seat wine bar. Lucia decided to grab this space as a means to allow her customers a place to wait when the restaurant was crowded during busy nights. However, it quickly developed its own clientele.

The wine bar resembles the dining room in its overall appearance but does have a distinct personality of its own. The seating is more intimate and the bar area more decorative. The walls are also adorned with artwork and antique mirrors.
